Are your boxes plastic-free and recyclable?

Yes. There are three parts to our packaging:

• Our snack boxes are made from forest-positive cardboard.
• Our packaging tape is made from paper with a water-based adhesive.
• Our filling is made from recycled wood straw.

What else are you doing to improve your sustainability?

We are encouraging all of our suppliers to move towards plastic-free and recyclable packaging. As we get bigger, we will have more influence on their decisions and we intend to use this influence to make these changes happen as quickly as possible! We also only send out our snack box subscriptions on two days of the month. This means we need far fewer vehicle miles to get our snack boxes to you.

What is 'forest-positive' packaging?

All of our snackboxes are made from forest-positive packaging. This means that more trees are planted than deforested to make our boxes.

How do subscriptions work?

Peace By Piece subscription boxes are fully customizable. You can choose how many snacks you'd like in each box, how frequently you'd like your boxes delivered, and how long you want them to keep coming! When you select the subscription service option from our website, you will be guided through these options to our checkout page. One you make your order, you will be send a confirmation note to the email you used and then it's time to sit tight and wait for the good stuff to arrive! We have two shipment dates each month; one at the start of the month and one mid-month. We will deliver your first shipment on whichever of these is soonest. Our boxes typically take 2-3 working days to arrive. Your subscription will auto-renew, however, you are absolutely free to cancel at any time (see the question below for details on cancelling a subscription).

What will I get in my box?

If you're ordering a one-off box, you'll get exactly what you in the picture. If you're ordering a subscription box, your first box will be as pictured. From then on, we will send you a different variety of exciting snacks in each box and we aim to make sure there are plenty of new snacks to try each time! Your subscription product will tell you the minimum number of snacks you'll recieve in each box, but occasionally, when we find something tasty what doesn't cost as much, we'll add in extra snacks so you're always getting good value for money. We are always on the look out for the newest, most exciting vegan snacks out there and when we find them, we get them for you. Simple.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes! To cancel your subscription:

• Head to our customer portal, here.
• You can then log into our customer portal with the email and password you used at the checkout.
• From there, click on the 'Manage' button under your subscription and click 'Subscription Settings'.
• Then click on 'Cancel My Subscription', and then 'Confirm'

How do I manage my subscription?

To access your subscription details, please visit your customer portal page here. From here, you can:

• View your current plans
• Update your billing details
• Cancel your current plan
• Change your password
• See your past invoices

Can I buy a subscription for someone else?

Absolutely! Our subscription boxes make the perfect gift that just keeps on giving. To purchase a subscription as a gift, you just need to make your selections as usual, but make sure to check the 'This is a gift' button once you reach our checkout page. Once you've done this, you'll be able to configure the subscription with the options below. (We wish we had friends like you)

Do you offer any discounts on your subscriptions?

Occasionally we will run offers and deals for our subscription boxes. Keep an eye on our instagram and facebook pages for news!

Which of your products are gluten free?

You'd be surprised how many of our products are gluten free. Head to our snack shop and apply the 'Gluten Free' filter to browse which products do not contain gluten. Whilst we offer a range of gluten free snacks, please note that we cannot guarentee that these products have not come from a factory that handles gluten. We also do not guarentee that they are free from trace amounts of gluten. Sorry if that sounds a bit negative - the legal guys said we have to say this!

Which of your products are palm oil free?

We have a growing range of palm oil free products and we are always on the look out for more. Head to our snack shop and apply the 'Palm Oil Free' filter to find out which of our current range is in this category. Whilst some of our products not in this category use sustainable-certified palm oil, we've done our homework and we don't think this standard is quite up to scratch yet so we have not included these in this category. Which of your products are organic?

Head to our Snack Shop and apply the 'Organic' filter to find out which of our products are made with certified organic ingredients.

Where can I find the product ingredients?

We will soon list all the ingredients of our products on their product page in the Snack Shop. Until then, a quick Google search will show you the ingredients.

Can I get a gluten free subscription?

We don't yet offer a gluten free subscription box, but we're working on it. For now, head to our one-off snackbox page where you can find our Ultimate Gluten Free box. You can also filter products in our Snack Shop to select individual gluten free products.

Are all your snacks vegan?

Yes. Vegan, plant-based and cruelty free. We've got involved in the 'well nothing is actually 100% vegan' arguement before. It's true that you can barely move in this world without impacting the environment in some way, however, everything we stock is known and labelled as vegan.

Where do you ship to?

We deliver anywhere in the UK. We can also deliver to mainland Europe for an additional charge.

Can I return my items?

We are unable to accept returns due to hygiene reasons, however, if you experience any damage or your delivery doesn't turn up, please contact us at peacebypiecevegans@gmail.com with photo evidence where applicable and we will sort it out!

How long will delivery take?

We do two send-outs per month for our snack box subscription customers; one at the start of the month and one mid-month. This means we can deliver all your snack boxes with far fewer vehicle miles! For all of our other products, we aim to have them shipped within 48 hours. They are deliverd with Royal Mail with an estimated delivery time of 2-3 working days.

How much is delivery?

For most of our orders, delivery costs £2.80 and will be shipped via Royal Mail. For orders to mainland Europe, delivery costs £8.90. As we grow we hope to reduce these prices further so your money is going towards the stuff that really matters: Snacks!

Why 'Peace by Piece'?

Our mission at Peace by Piece is to show the world that a cruelty-free, compassionate lifestlyle is entirely possible (and downright tasty) and we chose a name to reflect this. The plan is simple: Bring peace to the world, one piece of delicious vegan snack at a time. Peace and compassion is very much at the core of everything we do. We are always looking for new ways to give back to our community, reduce the impact of our products on the environment and generally just show that being good isn't all that hard.

What else do you do besides snack boxes?

Vegan vending machines. We set up Peace by Piece with a plan to make tasty vegan snacks accessible to everyone and we thought a vending machine would be a great way to do this. There's a lot of people out there that still think that being vegan is just too difficult and inconvenient and we wanted to change this perception. You can find our first 100% vegan vending machine in the famous Afflecks Palace in the centre of Manchester. It's full of all the tasty snacks on our website, as well as a selection of deliciously chilled drinks. Here's a pic if you're not in the area:

Where are you based?

We set up in Manchester, a city known for a history of innovations and doing things a little differently. You can find our first vegan vending machine in the middle of town at Affleck's Palace.

How are you giving back?

We set up shop in Manchester, a city known for many wonderful things, but also known for very high rates of rough sleeping. 10% of all our profits go to ending homelessness in all its forms. We've being doing this since our first day in business and we will continue to do it! We're pretty small right now but we're extremely excited for what else we might be able to do to support our community as we grow!
